I did stop by at night and they had bingo. They also have a beauty parlor and a little church. The only thing I didn't really like about it was there were too many different accents. I visited my mother-in-law who was admitted for rehab. The food was inedible so we brought her in food from the outside.

Alaris Health At Riverton is terrible. You don’t want your loved one to be there. I can’t wait for my father-in-law to get out of there. The TV is breaking down every five minutes.

They’re OK with care, but it’s not ideal. The people are nice enough, but they’re shorthanded. They feed them a hot meal for lunch and a sandwich for dinner. We have to bring him food because he’s starving. We talked to the people about our complaints, and they’ve been very nice about it and trying to be responsive.

There’s just so much they could do, but they can’t change the building. My aunt likes to color, so they bring her things to color and stuff; they are trying. The lobby and elevators always seem OK. Once you get upstairs, my aunt’s room was disgusting. There was stuff smeared on the walls and on the door. There was a big water stain up on the ceiling.

I haven't been really inside because we're not allowed to go in because of COVID, but the lobby is clean. They're very friendly, they answer any questions I have, and they're very nice on the phone. We offer a wide range of specialty services, aimed at addressing a variety of medical conditions. Our beautiful facility offers residents the ability to rest, recover, and return to their daily living, in a distinctly homey environment. The highly trained staff at Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center is available to assist in accessing community-based services to maintain the continuum of care.
We had visitation rights just downstairs, but yesterday was the first day I was able to go up in her room. The rooms are rundown, dirty, and dingy. She didn’t have a shower in her room, and there was a toilet between her room and another room shared.
There were game nights, dances, bands, and other events that were provided for the residents. Selecting the right skilled nursing facility can be critical to your speedy recovery. My mom is at Clove Lakes Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, I like that they’re taking care of her.
They treated you like you were children who shoudn't be allowed to ask questions or know anything. Additionally, the wrong medication was given to my relative on multiple occasions and luckily he was lucid enough to refuse otherwise he might be dead. When I visited the facility to visit my great grandmother, I was surprised at the accommodations and the staff. The cafeteria and the food were much better than I was expecting, and residents enjoyed many meal options. As long as it wasn't too early in the morning or too late at night you were able to visit. In the entrance way there are couches and chairs and tables allowing for you to spend time socializing with other residents, and watch them socialize.
I’m so mentally drained after being there after that. I just went out in my car and sobbed my eyes out. It is down in the hall somewhere, and she hasn’t gotten one yet. The lady bringing in the meal was really friendly. The people at the desk and my aunt’s social worker are wonderful.
It is worth mentioning that Medicare pays for what they deem as 'medically necessary' skilled nursing care. Looking at the median cost of semi-private rooms in nursing home care, Staten Island costs are about $4,000 per month more than the average American city ($7,756). However, care costs in Staten Island are only slightly cheaper than the state average of $12,319.
